The Pace 4 ships as a Class II ebike, with pedal assist and throttle. The Pace will also operate with the throttle unplugged and removed, should you want to ride in an area that only allows Class I ebike or throttles are prohibited. Aventon ebikes are built to the IPX6-rated standard. An IPX6 rating means the bike is protected against high-pressure water streams from any angle. This provides strong water resistance, so you can confidently ride in heavy rain or through puddles and mud. However, IPX6 does not mean waterproof—Aventon ebikes are not designed for full submersion. Avoid using a pressure washer or sprayer to clean your ebike, as pressurized water can still damage components. Max range determined using PAS 1 on flat terrain with a rider weight of 160 lb.This bike has been upgraded with full fenders, rear rack, phone holder, Ergon handlebar mirror, bell and Schwalbe Marathon Ebike-specific tires!
How do you know what size of bike you should buy?
A good place to start is using the sizing charts included for each bike on the info page. If you're in the middle of the recommended height range for a specific size then usually that's the correct one to go with. If you find yourself overlapping sizes at either the top or bottom of the height recommendation than sizing up or down could be a consideration.
For more relaxed fitting "city-style" bikes sizing is less crucial because often they will have adjustable stems and offer more overlap in sizing. Smaller bikes will be slightly easier to manage when starting and stopping while larger bikes will feel more stable when riding. Most often we recommend sizing down in this category.
Bikes that have a more aggressive riding position i.e. road, gravel and mountain bikes sizing is more important. In these categories we usually look closely at 3 numbers, reach, stack, and top-tube length.
